Natural Ways to Reduce Pain
Tai Chi Walking, a Whole Body Healing
Dr. Stella Park (ND) will share how to reduce pain and inflammation through simple body care practices. Dr. Jon Wiener will explain and demonstrate Tai Chi walking—an effective home practice for reducing pain. Dr. Jon Wiener has studied martial arts for 62 years and holds a 5th degree black belt in Karate. He is a certified senior Tai Chi
instructor.
Tai Chi walking is a ‘retraining’ of how to move. It helps to prevent falls, and how to move safely, smoothly, and in a way that heals the body. If time allows, Dr. Jon will cover the Baduan Jin, ‘8 Silk Brocades’. This is a moving Qigong exercise that gently exercises the entire body safely and smoothly, and also aligns the body’s energy channels.
