Who Would Benefit From Physical Therapy?

The new year has arrived, and we can’t wait to see what 2022 has in store for us. Pain and injury are two things that no one wants to happen. Make an appointment with your physical therapist to evaluate your musculoskeletal system to avoid this. We are uniquely prepared as physical therapists to assess physical changes in your body that could lead to discomfort or damage. We can help patients avoid future problems by scheduling regular physical therapy visits. A little prevention goes a long way.

So who can benefit from physical therapy?

Previous Patients:

This is an excellent time to receive a follow-up if you have completed physical therapy in the last six months; we can assess your past injury to see if there are any signs of recurrence, review your HEP to see if it needs to be changed to meet your current needs and check for any additional ailments.

Athletes (n.d.):

We work with athletes to help them avoid sports-related injuries before they happen. We can examine the demands of your sport, compare them to your present physical capabilities, and build an exercise regimen suited to specific muscle groups by going to physical therapy. We can also work with groups to create warm-up and exercise routines that will help them perform better.

Seniors over the age of 65:

Seniors often experience vision loss, strength loss, and, perhaps most critically, balance loss. We can determine your risk of falling and prevent them from happening by attending physical therapy for a balanced assessment. According to the CDC, 25% of persons aged 65 and up fall each year. We can assist reduce this figure by participating in a fall prevention program.

Patients Who Are Thinking About Surgery:

Physical therapists help people recover from injuries and relieve pain. It works so well, in fact, that it has been shown to eliminate or lessen the need for surgery in many cases. If you’re looking for a conservative treatment plan, you’ve come to the right place. If surgery is required, we also offer pre-operative appointments to make recuperation easier and safer.

We want to assist you in making 2022 the best year of your life by preventing significant injuries and discomfort.
